Hey y’all, it’s Nick, and I’m Sick of this Shit. As the title says, Iran has launched its first retaliatory strike against the US. So is it mostly symbolic or are we now in an outright anti-Constitutional war? Let’s get into it…
What’s the latest?
Take a look at the reporting—Iran Attacks United States Military Base—by Aaron Parnas, on the MeidasTouch Network. Aaron does a thorough job of breaking down this initial salvo by the Iranian’s towards US specific assets. This is a major development and escalation in this anti-Constitutional war.
This marks the first occasion of direct military action by Iran against the US. It means we’re going into a war whether we like it or not. Unlike the last Middle East war, this one is obviously based on no intelligence, no known actionable threat, and no attempts at fake justification. This war is just a vanity project for a demented, dying narcissist.
Where does it leave us though? It leaves the US weaker than it was on Friday, June 20th—any leverage in negotiations burned away with the launching of the B2 bombers, any hope of homeland security decimated with the missing enriched uranium and sleeper cells.
It left all of us unsafe—not less safe, but unsafe. It leaves the door wide open, with incompetent counterterrorism staffing…see this asshat, Thomas Fugate (reporting by ProPublica),
who is now overseeing the Department of Homeland Security’s main hub for terrorism prevention. Fugate, 22 years old, has no known expertise in terrorism prevention. The US has also moved a majority of its counterterrorism, terror prevention, major crime, federalized state guards, and other homeland security resources directly into internal gestapo inspired ICE raids. All intelligence resources have been diverted away from what they are meant to do—predict and prevent terrorism threats. It is all done with a purpose.
Anti-Constitutional and manufactured
So why do I say it’s “anti-Constitutional” and not “un-Constitutional”? It’s the difference in intent.
An “un-Constitutional” act is not intended to undermine Constitutional order. It is intended to stretch the bounds of the Constitution by moving the goalposts of what is considered legal.
An “anti-Constitutional” act is intended to undermine Constitutional order. It is intended to be destructive. Period, full stop.
With that in mind, the actions of Trump and his regime have all been anti-Constitutional. They have been clear in that intent—destroy the Constitution and replace it with the rule-of-one.
That is the antithesis of the Constitution. It’s the rule of one, where the many—even that tiny sliver originally included in 1776—lose the right to be free from the whims of a mad tyrant.
This era’s mad tyrant—Donald J. Trump—has done one of the final things he can to consolidate power. He used the authority of the President, as Commander-in-Chief, to issue the order to strike 3 Iranian nuclear sites. He did this without a shred of credible intelligence. In truth, he did it against the advice of his own, handpicked, yes-woman Tulsi Gabbard. He did it because an Iranian assassination attempt was thwarted and he wants revenge. He did it because he needed a way to finally get all the power he needs to put his most loyal shock troops in our streets. If reporting is right too, Trump might not have even known it was happening until after it happened for fear he would leak the intelligence.
So now we’re in the next phase of a global catastrophe in the making. Iran has returned fire. Trump cannot ever let anyone else have the last word. He has to have the final word, always. The US will respond.
All of this and there is still no Congressional approval of any sort. No War Powers or Declaration of War. If Congress ever gets back from vacation and votes on it, the Republicans will rubber stamp it. That’s expected. What’s important is that Democrats get every Republican on record AND force the Trump officials, under oath, to say why the attack happened. The record is important when those responsible are held accountable.
It’s anti-Constitutional because Trump wants one thing and one thing only—whatever is best for Trump. He is the antithesis of Constitutional order.
