There are a whole lot more of us than acknowledged on the CPTSD end of a trauma spectrum. I appreciate it being recognized as a chronic illness in itself, in addition to the physical damage it can cause. I believe it's no coincidence that we're finally having these conversations about relational wounds caused by abuse of power, as power is shifting in the world, & we are having to learn how to be & relate differently. Thank you so much for this work!

Thanks Nick for facilitating this group today. We’ve all had trauma in our lives. It happens. We do the best we can to heal. None of us need the years of work personally done to be ripped away.

I found recently that listening to those that rant or nearly yell is a “no go” listen for me, and unsubscribed from anything along those lines.

Yes we live in a crazy making time, but the “extra” given off by others is just not a place for me. Unless the house is literally on fire I don’t want to listen to overdramatized speech. And if the house is on fire, look me dead in the eye & just state the facts.

Fantastic discussion. CPTSD is def worth more discussion. Now only if I could have an ice cream cone! Thank you all.

I grew up in Burlington! Ice cream was not just a favorite treat, but it was part of our daily diet and Ben & Jerry’s were the best. I’m 67 now and wondering if you might’ve been standing right next to me enjoying the same ice cream I was in any case what a wonderful memory.
