hell on the rise

Is this the end, we educate demise?
Spread lies, sow fear, reaping rage in the youth.
Shall we go down this hell on the rise?
Leave us in dark as we gospel their truth.

We hide our heads, shove them deep in the sand.
They fake the truth, while whitewash the past.
We bow, we pray, get fed slop from their hand.
Do what is said, be soft, stay meek, sit fast.

Now they indoctrinate, they have no low.
Force lies they spread fear, a future unclear.
Do our children yet know of this deathblow?
Take truth, wash white, make strict, adhere.

No thought on where to go. Cut down, shut down.
No thought. No where. No go. Cut down, shut down.

I write this as a response to the recent SCOTUS decision to allow the wholesale destruction of the Department of Education — the one institution guaranteeing a free and equal education for all children, protects those with disabilities, and gives a level playing field between boys and girls.

This isn’t on accident and it scares the shit out of me as a parent. Stand up, be loud, be peaceful, but never stop fighting for what’s right.
