Meet the morality and thought police—Palantir—bringing about the unification of purposely decentralized and compartmentalized databases. This post on Twitter, by Jason Bassler, sums it up perfectly.
And what it all boils down to is the removal of all safeguards around our most personal, sensitive, and valuable data. All going into the hands of the technocrats and theocrats…thank you JD Vance and Peter Thiel.
This is now where the real danger lies—Palantir. They are the Company that brings you all things related to data collection, aggregation, and analytics for the US Military and our NATO Allies. They just so happen to also be major players in the Project 2025 and 7-Mountains Mandate groups primed and in-place to create the most sophisticated and precise surveillance system EVER.
Think SkyNet in Terminator, you know the system which went rogue and killed 90 something percent of the entire human population…then sent those machines back in time to kill more humans? Yeah, go watch them. We might be reminded of some important lessons.
Think Big Brother in 1984, you know the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-controlling police state where morality is strictly defined and thought is strictly monitored by “the Party”.
Think Elysium, you know where the world is controlled by a select few in their utopia while billions of others live in devastatingly poor conditions and brutally policed by the Neurolink enhanced billionaires and their robots. Sounds kinda familiar.
Sounds exactly like something Palantir is extremely well positioned and suited for. If you don’t think so, do some reading or ask ChatGPT to explain to you what Project Gotham is about…the name says enough, but if you want some fun reading, take a look at the dangers with Gotham and predictive policing and how quickly it is being used for “predictive profiling”.
Don’t criticize, just obey
So why is the data so important? Well, LLMs (large language models) are massive datasets used for “predictive” analytics. These are the heart of machine learning and AI systems. The data is the power. The date defines the quality of the modeling. Now most people see the word quality and think “how accurate is this data”, and they are exactly right. But accuracy is a funny, it is in itself only as accurate as the data being provided. Now what happens when those LLMs are stuffed with data that is heavily biased to produce an expected outcome?
Interesting you ask, because we’re all about to Find Out…and we have the previously mentioned examples - 1984, Terminator, Elysium - and others like the Handmade’s Tale and Judge Dredd which give pretty clear examples of where this can lead. The common theme in them all—mixtures of technocratic and theocratic rule with a bleak dystopian future for most. Now, given the current regime and its illustrious Homeland Security director, we should expect things to get out of hand.
If you think this group of criminals will do anything to retain their power, you’re probably right. They’ve done it before, and are doing it now. This time though, they are actually employing some of the worst and brightest people—Peter Thiel isn’t dumb. He and the other executives at Palantir have done incredible work. I’ve lived some of it while in the Army, as have almost all of our modern Veterans. We’ve at some point relied on a Palantir developed system to ensure we were more lethal and more effective than the enemy. Unfortunately, our Government is now going to full throatedly support a consolidated database of all our information to create creative new predictive models to repress thought and control morality. It will be subtle at first. Showing up in targeted ads and a major studio film, while at the same time producing more aggressive profile banning on social media. Then it escalates to social credit scores—based on your social media history, party affiliation, net worth, number of minor dependents, bank statements. You know, nothing serious. Then that social credit score becomes everything to the predictive models. Fed by corrupted data, purposely biased towards Christofascist and white supremacy. That is the final mandate of the 7-Mountains. That is the goal of Project 2025. That is the GOP’s agenda.
