I have been asked when traveling in Europe why Americans allow weapons of war to be purchased and in many areas the owners are allowed to carry them in public. this is almost impossible to explain, at least for me except to say that the politicians have sold out for gold.
The U.S. addiction to the 2nd amendment is seen as ludicrous by the rest of the world. In 1776 sure, but in the last century or more seriously??? If children’s needless deaths aren’t enough to change the laws, then Americans need to look deep into their souls and ask why it is so important to carry guns…is everyone really the enemy you need to defend yourself from?? Very twisted, Neanderthal-like fear that you keep feeding over and over. From my perch I see you not as the land of the brave, but the land of the fearful…and the land of racism. Meanwhile beautiful young souls die…shame on you.
