I’ve heard Joe on the Social Contact a few times and while I don’t agree on everything he stands for, I would say that there’s about 90%? of the issues where I could see eye to eye with him on. Like the gun issue for one, if you’re a farmer or rancher or a hunter, then there’s constructive reasons for defending your property, business and providing food respectively. But when it comes to semi automatic firearms in cities, schools, towns, etc. there is always a MOTIVE for causing unnecessary violence and carnage. Which is why 70% of registered gun owners believe in having sensible gun laws to which the Reprobates ( aka Republicans) , the NRA and the gun manufacturers don’t care about taking the lives of children, teenagers and young adults as this is the number one reason for the high death rates for children, teenagers & young adults. What these people in the gun industry are doing is profiting in blood money at the expense of children who will never reach their full potential in life, teenagers who will never get to graduate 🧑‍🎓 from high school, college, and young adults who will never be able to get themselves established in the work force by entering a lifelong career in either professional or trades industries, be able to buy a new home and raise a family. Read the chapter in Jim Wallis’s 2024 book THE FALSE WHITE GOSPEL where he describes gun violence as the number one killer of children, teenagers and young adults in America 🇺🇸. Wallis shares a biblical perspective on the subject and offers some ideas as to having sensible gun laws, to setting an example for others to follow, and setting up memorials in various communities so that those who fell victim to gun violence will always be remembered and as a place where people can pay their respects to their fallen friends, relatives, family members, co-workers etc. In Jesus’s day he had mentioned to Peter, “ If you live by the sword 🗡️ you will die by the sword ⚔️.” If Jesus was here today knowing the culture we live in, He would have said, “ If you live by the GUN, then by the GUN you will die.”

While I don’t ascribe to religion itself, I do completely see the value in honoring those who have been and families of those murdered. I also see the value in appropriate punishments and rehabilitation programs for those who do commit these acts — we have to break the endless “to prison” cycle in America too.

I also think that we should stand for the sanctity of life and valuing those already here — common sense laws promoting the right to pursue happiness without fear of death by a random gun owning stranger.

Thanks for your feedback, Frank, and I agree — if Jesus did come back, he sure as hell wouldn’t like what has become of Christian and Catholic Nationalists and I love the reframing of that statement — it hits home in the world we live in.

I don’t know if you’ve read Jim’s book yet, Nick but I highly recommend it as Wallis is big on social justice for all as am I. He believes that if we’re believers in Jesus Christ then we should be instruments of social activism as He was. IN SOLIDARITY 🇨🇦🦫🇺🇸🦅WITH YOU ALL, NICK.

I come from Texas. I grew up on a ranch and I grew up with guns. I sold guns. Of my life. Do I have immense guilt over that? of course I do —I have children. And I chose to have no guns in the house with children.

I love @JoeWalsh. He is the key.. because he’s the middle. He is the very middle. And that is all need to strive towards being. In fact, there is an entire very successful philosophy in the world called Buddhism the fall is the middle path!🙏

If we come closer to Joe and he comes closer to us …the higher we all go together.

And I love Fullerton’s comment about LGBTQ. MY CHILD❤️ is LGBTQ. Q sometimes means questioning. He is with a trans partner. I don’t expect anybody to understand or support that—-It has been a journey for me to understand and support it and I am pretty open minded!

But if you believe in freedom and they’re not hurting anyone, we all must to support it because that’s American and those of us who were born in a generation to judge the fuck out of people, we can change….

because I don’t do it anymore.

I Changed my thinking completely. It has taken time, but I have un-brainwashed myself through therapy and a lot of hard work.

I am still on that journey. I see Joe on that journey. I see @LevParnas on that journey. I see it in @MichaelCohen on that journey. That is why I follow those guys and that is why I appreciate them so much.

Nick, I’m all for going Live w/ Joe & you! But if you wanna go on with him and someone else, I understand, but I’m gonna ask him to come on with me for sure! Don’t know why I didn’t think of it before🤣

.Just tell me if I can DM him. !!
